Why Use Video?

In my experience video is a huge tool that you have to take advantage of in search engine optimization to compete. Because so few people have quality video making capability, any video produced that is reasonable quality will often be elevated in search engine rankings. I myself have found this to be the case. In a test that I did where I posted a video using TubeMogul.com, I was able to rank on the first page of Google very quickly for my video. My video of course was watermarked and I received a good amount of search engines traffic to my website based on his video content.

So, I highly recommend leveraging video in all of your campaigns.

Making Video

In this day and age it’s really not difficult to build high-quality video. Almost all modern PCs ship with video editing software built in. And, most laptops have built-in cameras that produce adequate quality video. Of course, it’s really about what you say in the message that you give, but video in general works really well and it’s very simple to do. You really should be doing video if you’re not.

Something else that others do that I am not a huge fan of is downloading, watermarking and re-upload of video content. While this can be very effective, the purist in me believes we should all be building our own unique content especially in the area of video.

Submitting video with SEnuke

The video submitter module in SEnuke makes posting unique video content easy by allowing you to upload to 11 different video sites with one click. How it works is that you post your video into SEnuke, enter your title, tags, description, and category for each site, and then click the start button. Your content will be uploaded automatically.

Of course, this module like the spinner module requires accounts that you have set up previously. This can be done virtually automatically with the account creation module discussed earlier. The process is slow, but really couldn’t be any simpler.

Tracking Video

If you can’t tell, I am a big fan of video. I actually went to film school last year to learn how to produce better video content. The school I went to was related to the Travel Channel, and was their Virtual Journalist program. So, I only invest in a small number of days to get very adequate training on how to build, edit, transcode and posts video content.

I currently am a user of TubeMogul.com. The downside of this tool versus TubeMogul is that it to more places and provides analytics capabilities that this tool does not provide. Most likely, I will use this tool in conjunction with TubeMogul, using TM to maintain my analytics and post to sites that as seeing it does not support. But, this tool can create accounts for TubeMogul, which is a manual process on the TubeMogul site.

I am looking forward to using this module to allow me to post video to more places easier than ever before. I think this will be an awesome feature.
